Manage the work you can't walk over and see
When half the team is at home on Tuesday and the other half is in on Thursday, the old signals stop working. CyberWall Insights gives you a plain view of who is working, how the day is going, and how the week compares, from any Windows computer with an internet connection.
Remote work removed the hallway, and the hallway was doing a lot of the work
A green dot isn't a workday
Chat status says someone is available. It doesn't say whether they've been at the keyboard for five minutes or five hours.
Flexible hours blur the picture
Some people start at 7, some at 10. Without a schedule to compare against, you can't tell flexibility from drift.
Uneven workloads stay hidden
In the office you'd notice the person who's buried. Remotely, overload and underload both look like silence.
Office days and home days differ
You suspect home days look different. You have no way to check without asking people to self-report.
Check-ins start to feel like suspicion
Extra status meetings and "just checking in" messages wear on the people who are doing good work.
See the team's status the way you would from your office door
The Real-time page lists everyone as active, idle or offline, with the application they're in right now and their productive share for today. It refreshes every minute. A quick look in the morning tells you who has started and who hasn't.
- Active, idle and offline counts for the whole company or one team
- Current application for each person
- Productive percentage so far today
Look at the whole day, start to finish
A snapshot can mislead. Productivity trends shows each person's day as an hourly timeline, colored productive, neutral, unproductive and idle, plus totals for work time, screen time and productive time. You see the real shape of the day, including the long lunch and the late finish.
- Per-person hourly timeline with idle gaps
- Work time, screen time and productive time per day
- Stacked daily bars to compare one week with the next
| Employee | Productive | Neutral | Unproductive | Work time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A. Rivera | 6h 12m | 1h 05m | 0h 21m | 8h 02m |
| J. Chen | 5h 48m | 1h 22m | 0h 34m | 7h 55m |
| M. Patel | 4h 57m | 1h 40m | 0h 52m | 7h 41m |
Give flexible hours a shape you can measure
Set a work schedule for each group: start, end, break and workdays. Insights compares first and last activity to that schedule, so you can offer flexibility and still know when someone is consistently starting late or wrapping up early.
- Different schedules for different teams or people
- Late start, early end and absent, flagged daily
- Productive-hours goal per day
| Employee | Schedule | First activity | Last activity | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A. Rivera | 8:00–5:00 | 7:56 am | 5:04 pm | On time |
| J. Chen | 8:00–5:00 | 8:21 am | 5:02 pm | Late start |
| M. Patel | 9:00–6:00 | 8:58 am | 4:31 pm | Early end |
| S. Okafor | 8:00–5:00 | 7:49 am | 5:15 pm | On time |
| D. Kim | 8:00–5:00 | — | — | Absent |
Compare home days with office days using your own groups
Group employees into teams any way that makes sense, such as by department, by location, or by remote and in-office. Every report filters by team, so you can compare groups side by side with the same yardstick.
- Filter every report by team
- Export to CSV for your own analysis
- Managers see only their own company's data

Review weekly
Look at trends once a week. Save real-time for the mornings you need it.
What remote employees won't be subjected to
Working from home already blurs work and personal life. Insights is designed to stay on the work side of that line.
- No keystroke logging. We record that input happened, never which keys.
- No reading of email, chat messages or documents.
- No full URLs. Websites are recorded by site name only, such as youtube.com.
- No screenshots unless you ask us to turn on the add-on, and never while the screen is locked.
Monitoring stops at the agent on your company's Windows computers. Personal phones and personal computers aren't part of it. Read about privacy by design
Questions we hear
Does the agent need a VPN or office connection?
No. The agent sends short activity summaries over the internet a few times a minute, so it works on home Wi-Fi, a hotel network or in the office.
Will it slow down employees' laptops?
The agent is a small Windows service with negligible performance impact. Most people won't notice it's there.
Does it track personal devices?
Only Windows computers with the agent installed are monitored. You deploy it through Microsoft Intune to the company computers you manage.
Will remote employees know they're being monitored?
They should. Insights can show a monitoring notice on each computer, and we recommend a written policy. Notice rules vary by state; see our monitoring laws guide (not legal advice).
Can I compare remote staff with in-office staff?
Yes. Put people into teams, such as Remote and In-office, and filter any report by team.
What about time spent on calls or away from the computer?
Insights measures computer activity. Calls on a desk phone or a cell phone won't show up, so factor that into goals for roles with a lot of phone time.
