For HR & people leaders

Fair decisions need consistent facts

HR gets pulled in when attendance slips, when a manager wants to act on a hunch, or when someone leaves suddenly. CyberWall Insights gives you the same measured data for everyone, along with the transparency tools to roll it out responsibly.

The challenge

HR sits between the data and the people

Inconsistent treatment

Two managers, two standards. Without shared data, the same behavior gets different consequences.

Thin documentation

When an attendance issue escalates, "they're often late" doesn't hold up as a record.

Burnout shows up late

Overloaded employees often say nothing until they resign.

Rolling out monitoring the right way

Employees need notice and a clear policy. Get it wrong and you damage trust before you learn anything.

Attendance

One consistent attendance standard for every team

Assign work schedules and Insights reports late starts, early ends and absences the same way for everyone. Export to CSV when you need it for a file, and use the activity log, including lock and unlock events, to check the details before a conversation.

  • Late start, early end and absent by day
  • Same rules applied to every employee on a schedule
  • CSV export for records

Wellbeing

Spot overload before it becomes a resignation

Set an over-utilization threshold and watch for people who consistently exceed it. After-hours activity alarms can flag someone quietly working nights. Both are good reasons for a check-in that has nothing to do with discipline.

  • Over-utilization threshold
  • After-hours activity over 30 minutes alarm
  • Per-person timeline to see late evenings

Departures

Context when someone gives notice

Alarm presets for USB file copies and file-sharing sites can give early warning when data might be leaving. Each alert goes into a log for a person to review. Treat signals as context, never as an accusation.

  • USB copy and file-sharing presets
  • New, reviewed and dismissed status
  • Alarm analysis to separate one-offs from patterns

Rolling it out

Transparency first

Write the policy

Explain what's monitored, why, and who can see it. Start from our monitoring policy template.

Check notice rules

Some states require written notice or acknowledgment. Our monitoring laws guide covers the basics. It isn't legal advice.

Turn on the notice

Insights can show a monitoring notice on each Windows computer, so nobody is surprised.

Agree on how data is used

Decide with managers what triggers a conversation, and who is in the room.

Privacy

Lines Insights doesn't cross

These limits make Insights easier to explain to employees and easier to defend.

  • No keystroke logging
  • No reading of email, chat or documents
  • Websites by site name only, never full URLs
  • Screenshots off by default, never while locked, auto-deleted after 7, 14 or 30 days

We never sell data, and each company's data is kept separate. Read about privacy by design

FAQ

Questions we hear

Can Insights support our monitoring policy documentation?

Yes. Reports, alarm logs and the employee notice can support your policy and records. Compliance with employment laws, and any industry rules like HIPAA, remains your responsibility. This isn't legal advice.

Can employees see a notice that they're being monitored?

Yes. The agent can show a monitoring notice on each computer.

Who has access to the data?

Access is granted per manager, and managers only see their own company. Every login uses MFA.

Does Insights integrate with our HRIS or payroll?

Not today. Reports export to CSV, which you can bring into other systems.

Should we use Insights data in terminations?

Use it as one fact among several, reviewed by a person and discussed with the employee where appropriate. Talk with employment counsel about your specific situation.
